Seven partners including Xiaomi, Deutsche Telekom of Germany, DBG, Foxconn, BYD, etc., jointly carried out the Six Sigma improvement activity from February to July 2022. DBG took the improvement-themed of “Reducing the PCBA defect rate of the K7 smartphone project at the SB factory” and made the PCBA test defect rate of the K7 project ultimately reduced from 2.54% to 0.98% through the team’s unremitting efforts and overcoming difficulties, it successfully achieved the intended purpose. Through layer upon layer checking and multiple evaluations and training from Xiaomi and Deutsche Telekom, we were ultimately awarded the “Demonstration Award” of Six Sigma by the China Quality Association!
The instructor Lucky from Deutsche Telekom organized an online award ceremony meeting for Xiaomi and the four finalists – DBG, Huaqin, Foxconn, and BYD. At the meeting, instructor Lucky awarded us with trophies and shared 4 good points about the project – simple, appropriate, qualified, and aligned, and 4 new points – environment, roles, relationships, and methods about the outlook for next year, while inspiring us to continuously work hard and create more achievements again next year!
